The painting “Night Landscape” is part of the Journey to Russia series, dedicated to the emotional perception of familiar places after a long absence. Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the work conveys the inner experience of returning—a meeting between memory and a changed reality.

Large light and dark forms suggest fragments of nighttime urban architecture, roads, and spaces partially concealed by mist. Layered textures, sharp edges, and expressive drips create a sense of movement, tension, and the passage of time. Vivid accents bring energy to the restrained composition and symbolize life continuing amid change.

“Night Landscape” explores the complex feeling of returning to a place where everything appears both familiar and new. The painting will make a striking statement in a contemporary, minimalist, or industrial interior.
